Reproduction Wēngzhòng Warrior pendant
A carving of a legendary Chinese hero called Wēngzhòng which has been worn as a protective amulet by Chinese people for more than 2,000 years. Fashioned out of distressed Siberian jade using the ‘eight cuts’ style of carving perfected in the Han Dynasty. Wēngzhòng was the bodyguard of the first Chinese Emperor, Qín Shǐhuáng. it is said that when Wēngzhòng died, the emperor had a statue carved of him placed in front of the entrance to his palace so he could protect him even after death.
