A talk on jade to the Royal Asiatic Society

I was privileged to be asked to give a talk on my new book, A Jade Treasury, to the Royal Asiatic Society in Shanghai. I love talking about all things jade and it seemed to go down very well. As well as talking about my new book I took along plenty of samples of the Stone of Heaven, carved and otherwise, to show the audience. I also gave tips on how to haggle for jade and differentiate between genuine articles and fakes.

The Q & A afterwards lasted almost as long as the talk itself and people showed great interest in my new book. Interesting point for jade lovers. 97% of orders are for the paperback version rather than the digital version. This goes against the current trend for eBooks. I wonder why.
