A program about Jade

I am honoured to have been asked to appear as a guest expert on one of Chinese national TV’s most prestigious ( and popular) series about Chinese culture. In an hour long show in front of a live audience on CCTV4 I was one of four experts talking about the importance of jade to Chinese people.

One of the other guest experts was someone I had always wanted to meet, the master jade carver, Zhang Tie Cheng, who designed the medals given to athletes at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

It also gave me an opportunity to talk about my new book, A Jade Treasury. Taking part was very challenging but also great fun and as a result my book is soon to be published in Chinese.
